First Prize—Competition win Bildungscampus Hoffbauer Stiftung, Kleinmachnow, Germany
Open Air Auditorium
Our urban development concept was selected in a competitive workshop process for the redesign of the Hoffbauer Foundation school campus south of Berlin as the basis for the creation of a development plan. The process, which took place between July and September 2025, established the framework for the future development of the site.
The project expands the existing ensemble with a new sports hall built above an existing one, 120 new residential units and a parking garage that also houses a new sustainable energy hub. A reimagined landscape forms the connective fabric of the campus, linking school, sport and housing while transforming the formerly fragmented site into a coherent whole. At its centre a new open air auditorium becomes the social heart of the campus, a place for gathering, learning and community life.
Developed in collaboration with bächlemeid architekten and Lohrengel Landschaft.
